A total of 61 African players are in the competition this season as Chelsea aim to retain the title.

Red Bull Salzburg parades four Malian players in their squad they are;Daouda Guindo, Sékou Koïta, Mamady Diambou, Mohamed Camara. Although they are not in the leading clubs, Adama Traoré and Moussa Kyabou, both from Sheriff Tiraspol, still have the opportunity to shine.
